Attorney Shana R. Messinger was born and raised in Dallas, Pennsylvania. Shana attended college at Misericordia University, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. Upon graduating from Misericordia University, Shana attended the Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she was awarded Best Oral Argument and was a finalist in the Trial Advocacy Competition.
Shana has worked as a Prosecutor in the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted hundreds of violent felonies, homicides and assaults with a focus on domestic and child sexual abuse crimes. Currently, Attorney Messinger is a part-time Assistant County Solicitor for the Luzerne County Office of Law where she represents Luzerne County in a variety of legal issues.
Locally, Shana is a member of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association. Attorney Messinger is also very active in charitable and community related matters. Presently, she serves on the board of directors for the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, and is also a member of the Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre’s Community Advisory Board.
